Fancy Colored Diamonds
Contrary to what most people belief, diamonds actually come in all colors in the rainbow. The most widely seen ones are blue diamonds, pink diamonds, and yellow diamonds. Their color gradings usually goes from dark, intense, saturated hue (higher quality) to pale, washed-out, barely-there tints (low quality). However, there are many in-between shades that are extremely rare and are priced according to their visial appeal, such as peach, pumpkin, sea-green, purple, and even light amber. Out of all colored diamonds, red, green, and purple colors are considered most rare.
Colored diamonds are formed by traces of elements other than carbon being present inside a gem. The chemical build-up takes place deep within earth, and occur very scarcily in nature. Today, many colorless, white diamonds can be treated to produce fancy colored diamonds.
Throughout recorded history, colored diamonds have only gone up in value. Investing in fancy colored diamonds is the smartest choice, because even in the worst market conditions, the value of these precious gems never go down.
